You don't have to have a vBulletin license to buy our skins, but to use them on a vBulletin installation without a vBulletin license would be illegal.

Unfortunately this is a bug with vBulletin. The software overrides the skin's CSS with default profile customisation colours. It was supposed to be fixed in 4.1, but it doesn't look like it has been....
